You haven't heard a lot of Jugend lately, one of the reasons being our label Tocado Records was deprived of its finance due to victimless crime. This agression will not stand! In the framework of drawing a line in the sand, Jugend will play next Friday at Tocado Benefiet in Exit, Mauritsstraat 173 in Rotterdam (www.exit.nl) with The Bullfight, Yoshimi and fellow maximale rammers De Dood. Please come see us, drink, treat objects like women, be proud, scream and fight!

What a great day sunny day for dark Jugend. The Tocado festival showed us how much fun playing open air is, especially when it means victory over peasants who choose to live in the centre of Rotterdam and complain about a lack of rural peace. Tocado Festival: victory over bureaucracy

Today the Tocado office received a call from the Rotterdam city council saying they will issue a permit for the Tocado Festival. The festival will be held on the original location in the cente of Rotterdam from 13:00 to 19:00. JUGEND will do the opening act (naturally a festivity with so much media gossip needs some spicing up!). So for some serious politics, come to Grotekerkplein at 13.00!! And be fast because we'll have new merchandise!

TOCADO OPEN AIR CANCELLED

Tocado Open Air on August 29th has been cancelled due to complaints about expected noise by a whopping number of one individidual. Why on earth do these peasants choose to live in central Rotterdam? Rotterdam summer festival life features F1 racing, FFWD dance parade and other noisy activities. Apparently a celebration of Rotterdam rock extravaganza appears to have more impact to the local policy makers.

JUGEND at GAZA LIBRE May 30th

Squatters of all ages, Saturday May 30th will be your pick. GAZA LIBRE is a squat festival taking place at the Spoor 1 building, Marconistraat 37 in West Rotterdam. Jugend will play, together with other loud acts like Dey Double U and Tveting Front. More discomfort will be provided by CYBX010 DJs. For all the faint-hearted...there is a reggae & dubstep stage too! The cacophony starts about 6 pm with yours truly playing about 8 o'clock. See you next Saturday @ Spoor 1!

JUGEND LIVE MAY 2ND ELECTRO CLASH

We can finally announce the next gig! It's in our second living room Exit (Mauritsstraat 173 Rotterdam, www.exit-rotterdam.nl), and we're collaborating with our friends Kate & Leopolt (www.myspace.com/kateandleopolt). Plus we have special guests on guitar!! The theme for the night is Electro Clash Night, which should suit Jugend very well.
